For the visitor who wishes to understand more about the process so employed in all of the work, might I suggest reading the DESCRIPTIONS. It has become a platform for writing about the process and my creative journey. Other works, including: oils, watercolor, mono-prints,ink,etc can be viewed on FAA at the Terrance DePietro artist site. 'THE NATURE THAT LOVES TO HIDE' series is easy to distinguish as they have a restricted pallet of color: Depicted in this unique series are expressions of qualities, emotions, virtues, vices, temptations, involvement, states of mind and states of being. Such are the realm and reality that we might announce as 'subjective' and such are the seeds of creative images since long before easel painting. For the most part the titles are: actions, events or questions; never answers. Such titling merely gives a marker of 'perspective' of the artist; where as the viewer remains free to engage the image from most any direction or perspective...if the title adds something other to that experience then the more enriched the experience. In that stated goal rests an abundance...Yet hidden in the 'ambiguity' of chosen words. Where as 'words' have purpose so too image is purposeful and when approached by a mind that wants to see beyond the sensate ordinary, 'feel' something less objectified in Nature and allow the other side of 'what is real' shape the experience, event, of perception, which Life offers, so becoming purposive - if only as a potential. What is the consequence of Purposive Ambiguity as a path to find the potential in and of Life? Future-ness!
