Description
Even if nature's wonders attracted my camera's lens in the 1960s, there would be no way to explain to the young mind, the extent of the implications that would, with time, unfold to it.
Gazing into the summer creek: focusing below the surface that ripples from a breeze, almost as much as from the gravity twisting the flow over the uneven creek bed, mesmerizes most any solitary soul. And the attraction is made more, when it is new and unfamiliar, as in the case of a city kid merely passing a few weeks in the luxurious of nature's spectacle. And so it was, that sunny day of '64, when the allure of the creek's ramble had me stop, take notice and click, the least of that one solitary event's splendor...
Even that there was no reflection visible on the surface, the sun found the infinitesimal movement and the light refracted and in metaphoric fashion 'imaged' the sun's warmth - and even years later that unfamiliar natural event has caused my attention, on more than one occasion to search between 'the above and below' for what might next constitute imaginal delight.
