Irreconcilable Implications of Time

Description
The moment my eyes saw it, its imply was recognized. Even if I was young, energetic and barely familiar of a razor, I could hear the time tic; imagine the hands clicking off the seconds and see the rust crumbling into vanishing residue. I knew its implication, its metaphor, and it seemed so so natural to raise the camera, focus and save the chance find...And that was more than fifty years ago; and the year was 1965.
It was one of the first color images (a slide) that I took; even if I had been of habit to carry a camera for a few years time. Those first years were absorbed to B&W - how better to learn the craft? How better to pass my time? And how time seemed plentiful...back in '65!
In truth I was well aware of the implications of the priceless commodity, though I had yet to master the art of 'trading' it - and make no mistake, 'Time' is a commodity; more precious than platinum, et al! Once it is recognized as 'priceless', a person's life is never the same...

Wonderiffic.

Who would wonder, that more than fifty years later the truthiness of a single instant of time would yet hold so much profound relevance as a mere image - except that the image is still quite vocal! Thank you for your comment. - tdp

I see the image denoting history, time, and space. The clearer denoting recent history while fading applying to distant times. Yet, still reachable like an old Shinto shrine, Christian church, or Pagan holy place. If the heart still beats with passion then connected to a world long gone - but still reachable and full of meaning.

First, thank you for entering the 'idea' of image being much more than a aesthetic rendering; and as well recognizing that symbology, at bottom, has no boundaries or limits in time. I much enjoy your take on the image, and I will add it to all that I have located through the years. There is a very long history between us now, and the image never stops providing new suggestion... Lucky I am that my portfolio continues to chatter, whimper and shout! Best-of-Life, Terrance

Thank you Claudia, a vintage piece that now makes the most of sense, fifty plus years after its capture...
