Great colours and textures!

Eight nuances of iron oxide pigments; I make my paints; in our studio there are dozens of different pigments and hundreds of pounds of pigments, resins, waxes and natural binders - Thank you for visiting.

Love the colors and the textures - Have you read the book... Color: A Natural History of the Palette by Victoria Finlay? It is really interesting - I learned so much!
Terrance DePietro replied:
Being published in 2004, I am sure to have missed it; in the 90s I was much involved with selling pigments from my studio and prior, in the 80s I was much involved with symbols, alchemy and mythology... Over the years I have forgotten more than have retained - but to be sure the subject is fascinating. Since you apparently enjoy learning, might I recommend Cirot's Dictionary of Symbolism available as a free pdf online - it is much more than a mere dictionary and the intro, written by CG Jung is very informative... Thank you for visiting my world - Best-of-Life, Terrance
