Description
'A Cold Touch of Translucence' where the luminosity of morning's light meets the delicate clinging snow of winter's coldness.
As all else is layered to shadow, the forest becomes a patterned backdrop for the sun's light...
And so, I question if perhaps the patterned backdrop is in reality an unwritten manuscript for imagination's implications to pursue?
Luminous and enigmatic it surely is - but first it will have to be heard...So I will listen to the silent and frozen form because it whispers...if only in mind. - tdp 10mar18

Sometimes our imaginings make nature too complex. But, even the natural seeking of light is metamorphic., if one listens, and hears with one's eyes, as you recently said to me.....glad of a smile, always....V.

also, Terrance, to add.........when I squint, as taught to do,lol, I see here shreds of fabric torn...symbolic to me of dreams, whispers, hopes, dashed, but sunlit for solace; and in the twigs and branches, a pattern of life's exigencies, some lyrical, some broken, and always in contrast to our perhaps impossible dreams of grace, unity, light to guide.......................

Thank you VIVA for once again taking the time to look beyond the 'whatness' of static form and locating its 'whatelseness'. The enigmatic whispers, as you point out, are surely present in this strange composition, which rests somewhere between abstraction and depiction. That I know that the branches are those of a Pear tree makes it all the more introspective. But as that would be to past concern, the whispers that more interest me now are what yet will blossom on the multitude of entangled layers...metaphoric in the depths of shadowy ambiguity that the idea of future suggests. In truth, the image is still a faint echoing, but by acknowledging the mere echo, I make the first step and as I get closer to the source I have faith that the whispers will be medley. Thank you for provoking this morning's smile! - tdp

Lovely perfect expression of the sound of whispers - and inspiring your understanding of translucence here in this crisp example of light, sunlight, striking the quiet white snow. I also admire the dramatic patterns and forms of the dancing branches.....I am sure they hear too. Compliments, fv...VIVA
