IN EXTENSION TO COMMENTS
By way of allowing an image to be visible to a public, and attending the viewer's impressions, the artist both tests, his own perspective's truth, and acquires new validity in the impressions that reflect the broader communicative voice of the image.
How different the two measures are, allows the artist to define both his intentions and the vocabulary which a subsequent image might well be given. That reconciliation is a hallmark of cultural artistic merit, supposedly, that art is not 'unintelligible' but communicates; even if the communicating is subliminal, only to be recognized intuitively or as a feeling that flows out of the viewer.
Images are not endowed with 'feeling', just as they are not endowed with soul. Images are perceptions and as such are potentially affecting; at least it is hoped. And in the notion of soul, images can be said to absorb the sympathetic connectivity that is soul; and in so, conduct the viewer from the perception to the region of mind that the viewer is most attuned to, by way of attitude. It is for that reason alone that the viewing public most never be allowed to forget that creative-image is more than mere depict or mimicry but talkative, telling and informative!
So by way of a viewer's gracious comment it is so reminded: that the hunt of Notions is party to society's disposition to foster cultural bodies of works, artifacts, that both record for generations to come; but more importantly, plant within the present viewers the potency of inform that a language of image so mysteriously possesses.
Any description assigned most suggest the inclusion of the exchanged comments; they are each relevant and cumulatively effective to the development of a more encompassing attitude to artistic imply. 3mar17 tdp

Hello Terrance, I always enjoy both your images and descriptions thereof. This celebration of communication by virtue of these modern wires in this otherwise barren pre-dawn, is wonderfully metaphorical......one can't help wondering what will happen to the hunted when full daylight occurs. Thank you VIVA...And in this case what is hunted is analogous to 'Notions'; notions that will spin, twirl into questions and delight the hunting visitor, a perceiving being, ranging into Nature's abundance; where the hints and suggestions discern themselves, and conflict with what he once thought nature to be... Only to foster new and fresh appreciations for Nature, himself and the marvelous process they share and complement...And so VIVA, as this remark has completed one of the original 'notions' that springs from but one image, I will, in time, type yet another 'possibility' - of what brought me to that quiet and cold place, the morning that I 'captured' one of whom I search!
